Adding the Authorize.net Payment Gateway

To set up the Authorize.net payment gateway in WHMCS:

1. Go to Configuration () > System Settings > Payment Gateways or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Products/Services > Payment Gateways.
2. Choose the All Payment Gateways tab.
3. Click Authorize.net.
4. Check Show on Order Form to display this payment method in the Client Area during checkout.
5. Enter your Authorize.net credentials.
6. Click Save Changes.

Customer Information Manager (CIM)

The Authorize.net Customer Information Manager (CIM) system allows you to store customers' sensitive payment information on Authorize.net's secure servers for better compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

This works by only storing the full card number on Authorize.net's system rather than locally. For more information, see Authorize.net CIM.

Adding the Authorize.net CIM Payment Gateway

To set up the Authorize.net CIM payment gateway in WHMCS:

1. Go to Configuration () > System Settings > Payment Gateways or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Products/Services > Payment Gateways.
2. Choose the All Payment Gateways tab.
3. Click Authorize.net CIM.
4. Check Show on Order Form to display this payment method in the Client Area during checkout.
5. Enter your Authorize.net CIM credentials.
6. Click Save Changes.

Echeck Module

The Echeck module for Authorize.net allows you to process payments directly from a bank account. The system stores the details in the client profile and uses them for automated recurring billing on future invoices.

Adding the Authorize.net Echeck Payment Gateway

To set up the Authorize.net Echeck payment gateway in WHMCS:

1. Go to Configuration () > System Settings > Payment Gateways or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Products/Services > Payment Gateways.
2. Choose the All Payment Gateways tab.
3. Click Authorize.net Echeck.
4. Check Show on Order Form to display this payment method in the Client Area during checkout.
5. Enter your Authorize.net Echeck credentials.
6. Enter a custom module name.
7. Click Save Changes.

Troubleshooting

<field> is required
This error indicates that the field value (for example, Email Address) is not being submitted to Authorize.net but is a required field in your Authorize.net account.

To resolve this, log in to your Authorize.net account and navigate to Account > Settings > Payment Form > Form Fields. Make certain that none of the fields are selected as required fields.
