About this Module

WHMCS 8.4.1
We introduced this module in WHMCS 8.4.1 to address API implementation changes that Opayo (formerly Sage Pay) announced for March, 2022.

Due to Opayo's changes:

  • This gateway can only tokenize and store credit cards when the client is making a payment.
  • This gateway module does not include the card vault feature.

For more information, see SagePay Tokens Deprecation and SagePay Tokens v2 and the WHMCS 8.4 Release Notes.

The SagePay Tokens v2 payment gateway module is available in WHMCS.

Note

This module works with both US and UK based accounts.

Adding the SagePay Tokens v2 Payment Gateway

To set up the SagePay Tokens v2 payment gateway in WHMCS:

  1. Go to Configuration () > System Settings > Payment Gateways or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Products/Services > Payment Gateways.
  2. Choose the All Payment Gateways tab.
  3. Click SagePay Tokens v2.
  4. Check Show on Order Form to display this payment method in the Client Area during checkout.
  5. For the Vendor ID setting, enter the Vendor Name value in your SagePay account. While you can use two different accounts, most users will use the same vendor ID for both the first and recurring payments.
  6. If you use multiple currencies, set Convert To For Processing to the currency for your Sage Pay account. If this is not set properly, your payments may fail.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Test Mode

You can use test mode to simulate payment processing without actually causing a transaction to occur. This can be useful to test your configuration.
