Quantum Vault is the remote storage version of the Quantum Gateway module where card details are stored on Quantum's server for rebilling rather than in your WHMCS database.

By using the Quantum Vault option as opposed to the Quantum Gateway module, this means that clients credit card information never touches or passes through your website/server and thus the PCI Compliance requirements you have to meet are lessened, and the risks in accepting and storing credit card details on your server are completely negated.

Entering of card details for payment, and the 3D Secure process are then done entirely off site on Quantum's side (which you can brand from your account control panel with them) and client area credit card updates are done using an iframe window to display Quantum's update page within your client area design.
