About this Module

We removed this payment gateway in WHMCS 8.8.

LinkPoint, now First Data Global Gateway, is a payment gateway in WHMCS.

WHMCS currently uses the original integration method, now being referred to as "Legacy". Make sure that your First Data account is set up to use their Legacy system.

Adding the LinkPoint Payment Gateway

To set up the LinkPoint payment gateway in WHMCS:

Go to the appropriate location for your version of WHMCS:
- For WHMCS 8.0 and later, go to Configuration () > Apps & Integrations or Addons > Apps & Integrations.
- For WHMCS 7.10 and earlier, go to Setup > Products/Services > Payment Gateways and choose All Payment Gateways.
Click LinkPoint.
Check Show on Order Form to display this payment method in the Client Area during checkout.
Enter your LinkPoint credentials:
- The store number is the number you were assigned by LinkPoint at signup.
- The Key File is the file which you need to download from your account with them and then upload to your server.
  - Enter the full path to where you have uploaded the file (for example, /home/username/pem1423.key).
  - We recommend you store it outside the publically accessible folder tree.
Click Save Changes.

Test Mode

You can use test mode to simulate payment processing without actually causing a transaction to occur. This can be useful to test your configuration.

Troubleshooting

As with all gateway modules, if you find the transactions aren't working, take a look in Transactions > Gateway Log for the details of what was sent/received to and from the gateway for information about what error occured. If you see a connection related error, check that port 1129 is open in your servers firewall as that's the port LinkPoint uses for it's communication.
