You can use security questions as an extra level of security when your clients contact you, in order to verify their identify. When resetting their password from the client area, the system will prompt the client to select their security question and enter the answer before creation of a new password. You will need to add security questions before your clients can use this feature.

You can access this feature at Configuration () > System Settings > Security Questions or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Other > Security Questions.

For information on managing security questions as a client, see Client Area Security Questions.

Adding Questions

To add a new question, type in the available text box and click Save Changes. This will add the security question to the system.

The system prompts clients to choose and answer a security question when registering, modifying their account password, or requesting a new password.

Disabling Questions

To disable security questions, delete all of the questions that appear in the list.

You cannot delete security questions that are in use.

Removing A Users Security Question
