Domain Registrar integration allows for automated domain registration and management through a WHMCS system. The available management features are:
- Domain Registration
- Domain Transfers
- Renewal/Extensions
- View/Change Nameservers
- View/Update WHOIS Information
- Lock/Unlock Domains
- ID Protection
- EPP Code Retrieval

For more detailed guides on configuring domains and registrars in WHMCS, see Domains Configuration.
With WHMCS, it is possible to specify which registrar to use on a per-domain basis. This enables you to leverage multiple suppliers for different TLDs and therefore reduce costs. For example, you may wish to use Registrar A for .com, .net and .org domains, but Registrar B for .co.uk, .org.uk and .net.uk domains.
To achieve this, configure the domain pricing under Configuration () > System Settings > Domain Pricing or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Domain Pricing. Select the different registrars to use from the Auto Registration menus. The system will use the selected registrar to register that particular TLD automatically when a client places an order and pays the associated invoice.
Automatic Renewal
Clients can renew a domain at any time via the client area, or, when the auto-renewal option is enabled, the system will automatically generate a renewal invoice according to the Invoice Generation settings under Configuration () > System Settings > Automation Settings or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Automation Settings. WHMCS can renew domains at the registrar automatically after the renewal invoice has been paid. To do this, enable General Settings > Domains > Auto Renew on Payment.
Domain Synchronisation
If you wish to sync the expiry date, next due date, and status with your registrar for your domains, we recommend configuring the domain synchonisation functionality.
