  • Client Email Verification - With Client Email Verification enabled, new client accounts will be asked to confirm their email address via a tokenized link that is generated in an email on account creation. When this setting is enabled, a reminder banner appears at the top of the client's profile page in the admin area if the client has not verified their email address, along with an option to resend the confirmation email. It is important to note that clients who have not verified their email address can still access all areas of the client area, including ordering products. From the client's point of view in the client area, a reminder banner is displayed on every page in the client area asking the unverified client to confirm their email address. If the client has verified their email address, there will be no banner displayed in the client area, and the admin area will display a green successful email verification banner on the client profile view. All email verification emails are logged within WHMCS and can be accessed in both the client and admin areas. For full documentation, please click here
  • Easy Translation - The Easy Translation feature enables admins to translate product names, product descriptions, product groups, custom field names, and custom field descriptions in accordance to language files configured in WHMCS. For further details please click here.

  • Merged Tickets User Experience Updated - Merged tickets will now redirect admins to the new ticket that it was merged into. Merged tickets are searchable and will appear in search results, and when selected will redirect the admin to the new active ticket. Submitting a reply to a merged ticket will add the reply to the new active ticket.
  • Database Collation Health & Updates Check - With Version 6.3, WHMCS recommends using utf8_unicode_ci for all tables and columns. This implicitly means that tables and columns should be using "utf8" character set in order to ensure correct storage of international characters. As a result, when all tables and columns use the same character set and collation, the potential for data handling issues is greatly reduced. A Health & Updates check has been added to the Health & Updates page under the Help tab in the Admin Area.
  • CORE-9223 - Version 6.3 improves Income By Product report by including both setup and recurring fees into the report. Previous versions only reported setup fees and did not include product fees or recurring fees. The updated Income By Product report will thus provide a better overview of the actual revenue.
  • CORE-9651 - Client password hashes are created with the Bcrypt cryptographic algorithm. Previously stored Client and subaccount hashes are individually recreated and stored on their first successful login following the deployment of this update.
  • CORE-6368 - WHMCS 6.3.0 includes a new optimization to an index used for tlbtickets. Depending on the size of the table and the performance of the database server, this may extend how long the upgrade takes. If you are unable to finish the upgrade in a single run it is recommend to remove the file resources/sql/upgrade630alpha1.sql and run each of the statements manually via a mysql client and then try upgrading again. This change will result in improved loading times for WHMCS installations with large amounts of ticket data.
